This product is a nice variation of the Disgaea type of games with a somewhat different system of battle and upgrades but similar art and soldier system save that this system allows for you to level summoned units straight to the max level you have achieved from what I understand allowing for less grinding and more exploring of an interesting story with alternate endings much like Disgaea. The amount of customization available is impressive and will appeal to the hardcore audience who strives to build the perfect army, while still allowing relative newcomers to this sort of game to enjoy themselves. The gameplay is what I have come to expect from NIS (Take something already fun and change it a little or improve upon it or, in this case, both), while the translators at NISA do a good job not only on the translations themselves but also the dubbed voices (which almost makes me want to forget what happend to Ar tonelico 2).
